One person's view can be entirely different from another's... How would a stranger perceive your view?
Art is considered widely a the best form of expression, it allows the viewer to engage in the maker's perspective of whatever they were trying to create.
Photography is a fairly new practice. The interesting thing about photography is the fine line between what is real and what is a small fragment of a bigger picture we are unable to see. For example, the picture below is a picture I have taken. When I took this picture of London I was first starting out n photography, I was still enthusiastic about simply taking pictures of whatever was visually stunning and it can be argued this is a picture that most people who view it could recognise and identify with.
On my subsequent trips to London I started taking pictures of things that I began to identify London with, but not necessarily anybody else would recognise....
This picture of the homeless couple was what I more and more frequently began to identify London with and felt that the best way I could express this to others was by taking pictures. Issues such as homelessness whether because of domestic issues or because of migration from another country to big cities like London is not always easily portrayed. Photography is becoming a forerunning tool in communicating to everyone around the globe. Images are so widely circulated on the internet that they go viral and can be shared by anyone who has internet connection.
It is in this sense that people who struggle to describe their perspective begin to use mediums to show others such as Marjane Satrapi or Amos Tutuola. Satrapi through graphic images and Tutuola through his use of language have managed to convey to others a perspective they would never have known before.
